ABOUT
I work as a producer and photographer within my field of work, while also trying to see how I can mix these two artforms. One of my strong suits is to lead productions into the right directions but I also thoroughly enjoy doing portrait photography.
As a creator I focus on breaking taboos that are currently present in our society. Themes among the likes of sexuality, intimacy and nudity within humans, inequality and other social matters are the ones I feel most drawn to.
I usually start a project because of a personal experience or observation that I want to explore. With research within different cultures, institutions or theoretical essays I try to get as close as possible to the subject or theme I’m covering.
The medium of photography is something I use to visualize the world and people around me. My goal is to create an environment where we can learn more about ourselves and others. I feel like this is highly necessary since there is still so much ignorance when it comes to others because of the existing stigmas within our society.
A lot of time is dedicated to create a feeling of trust between the subject and any people I come in contact with during the process.
In my opinion, it is very important to show a lot of compassion and involvement towards, as well as putting emphasis on the equal interactions between, my subjects and I. This approach is important to me because I prefer to see things from an unbiased an equal point of view while creating.
